Your First Visit
We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. Your first orthodontic visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. During this visit, we usually take a panoramic x-ray to ensure proper root development and tooth eruption.
Both the examination and x-ray are free of charge.
Dr. Leber will estimate the length of treatment and explain the benefits of braces. In addition, your insurance coverage and the cost of treatment will be thoroughly discussed at this initial visit.
During this initial consultation, it will be determined if treatment is indicated. If treatment is required, full diagnostic records are necessary to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient.
Diagnostic records includes:
- Digital pictures
- Facial and dental x-rays
- Models of the upper and lower teeth
If the patient is not ready for treatment, they are placed on recall to be seen at a later date in our office.
The appointment to place your braces usually takes from one to two hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals of 4 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment, which usually takes 20 to 40 minutes. Our regular office hours are as follows:
Central and Rita Ranch/Vail Offices:
